Handicaps

 

League Information

Men’s Club Dues:

  • Men’s Club Dues – We are going to charge a $20 membership fee this season.  This will be used for additional money in the CTP pot for the 2 day events.  It will be used for various cost throughout the year along with the banquet tournament.  A full accounting will be kept on the website for all to see.

Rules of Play:

  • USGA to Govern all play unless noted otherwise.
  • If you land in an un-repaired divot or bare dirt spot in your fairway you may take a drop no nearer the hole, without penalty. If a divot is sanded or otherwise repaired or not in your fairway, you must play it as it lies.  Other members in your group must agree that you are in your fairway and in an un-repaired divot or bare dirt BEFORE you take the drop.  You must drop the ball, do not just roll it with your club!

Handicap:

  • We are planning to change this to your best 5 scores out of your last 10 tournament rounds.  This will make the handicaps adjust more quickly in both directions and reflect how you are currently playing.  You must play 2 tournaments before you have an official handicap.  In your first 2 rounds as a member we will use the “Honor” system.  We will work with the new member to establish a handicap based on their recent scores.  Player will not be able to shoot lower than 70 Net in their first 2 events.  Handicaps will be adjusted if they shoot lower than 70 Net.  Players must have at least 3 actual tournament rounds in the system to play in any Major Tournament.

Player of the Year (POY):

  • Everyone will get 1 point for entering a tournament plus 1 point for each player you beat in each event with a 5 point bonus going to the winner.  POY points are regardless of flights.  We only count the 15 highest events for each player.  Two-man events are 1 point for each team you beat.  The 3 majors will be double points with a 10 point bonus going to the winner.

Tournament Payoffs:

  • Payoffs for tournament winners will be paid in cash the day of the event if possible.  We will always have two flights based on tournament handicaps.  We will pay 1/3 of the field in each flight.
  • Number of places paid in each flight:

3 – 5 players                1 Place

6 – 8 players                2 Places

9 – 11 players               3 Places

12 – 14 players             4 Places

15 – 17 players             5 Places

 

  • Percentage of pay-outs per flight:

1 place … 100%

2 places … 60% for 1st, 40% for 2nd.

3 places … 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, 20% for 3rd.

4 places … 40% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, 20% for 3rd, 10% for 4th

5 places … 30% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, 20% for 3rd, 15% for 4th, 10% for 5th

 

Entry Fee:

  • $20 Tournament Entry Fee for Each Event
    • $12 to the Prize Money
    • $5 to Closest to Pins
    • $3 for Skins
  • All Prize money will be paid out in cash after the event.

Reminder:

  • We always play summer rules, we do not improve our lies (except as noted above), and there are no gimmies. Putt them all into the hole unless otherwise posted.
  • Play ready golf at all times to keep pace with the group in front of you. If in doubt about finding your ball, play a provisional ball.
  • Read what’s on the Website to keep informed.  The schedule and standings will be updated and posted on the Website.
